We are proud of what we've accomplished with just 3 staff members and modest office space ($550/month). In 2020, $914,400 (78%) of Mazon's spending was directed towards the mission (fighting hunger), with the remaining expenditures split between administration (13%) and fundraising (9%). Unlike many charities, Mazon’s funding is grassroots, sourced almost entirely from our Jewish community: from personal giving and family foundations to small businesses run by Jewish people and our allies. We're grateful for everyone who gives what they can, from our thousands of small gift donors to our handful of transformative large gift donors. This broad-based coalitional support is how we fight hunger together - as a national Jewish community.

Our fundraising shows a strong community of committed supporters - and indeed, many of our donors have been giving for decades. We've grown our holiday campaigns from $50,000 campaigns to $100,000 campaigns in the last few years. Our biggest focuses for growth are monthly giving, third-party fundraising, and sustaining gifts over $5000. In 2021, please consider signing up to be a Hunger Fighter (monthly giver), contacting us about fundraising in your community, or sponsoring a community.
