MAZON Canada makes it easy to honour your guests by symbolically 'set a seat at the table' for the hungry at your event, or celebrate someone's special day by providing meals in their honour.
HONOUR YOUR
GUESTS
Notify your guests that a gift has been made in their honour with our beautifully-designed and customizable materials (see design example below):

place cards (at each seat);

table cards (to find your seat; personalized by name);

table toppers (for the centre of each table); or

ecards (for online or remote events).
We can also create something custom for your simcha, matching your event colours or including your event hashtag.
HOW MUCH SHOULD YOU GIVE?
It's up to you! Here's some suggestions to help you think about your gift:
- BY PERCENT OF YOUR FOOD COSTS: In 1986, Mazon's first fundraising project was "the 3% principle" - donating 3% of what you spend on food at your simcha. Today, many donate 3-15% of their food costs.
- BY 'SEATS AT THE TABLE': How much are you paying per head for your meal? Consider donating the cost of 3-5 'empty seats'.
- BY MEAL: Through Mazon's partners, an average meal costs $3.50. Consider donating a number of meals that feels impactful to you - which may be 50 or 1000 depending on your budget!

Making a gift in honour of a wedding, bar/bat mitzvah, birthday, anniversary, or another special day for a loved one?
For a gift of any size, Mazon can provide a certificate notifying them of a gift, or even the number of meals provided, in their honour (while keeping your gift itself confidential unless requested otherwise).
For significant gifts of $2500 or more, consider honouring a celebrant by sponsoring a community in their name.
