Volunteer packing food hampers at Operation Ramzieh (ON), a MAZON Canada Covid Emergency Grantee
MAZON Canada funds organizations across the country that are fighting hunger on the front lines. MAZON funds both Jewish and non-Jewish organizations such as food banks, shelters, school food programs, community gardens, meals on wheels, Out of the Cold programs and more.
If your organization is providing healthy food to those who need it most, you may be eligible for a MAZON Canada grant.

These grants are for organizations buying food directly for people in need. This is the most urgent aspect of our work.
These grants help organizations buy equipment that builds their capacities for feeding the hungry, like kitchen equipment.
These grants buy supplies for community gardens, teaching people in need to grow their own food and helping organizations feed healthy fruits and vegetables to their clients.
These grants support activists and advocates with the resources to tackle hunger at the very root and empower thought-leaders to do research, design policies, launch or expand campaigns that work towards ending hunger in Canada.
Right now, Mazon has a public application process only for our Grocery Grants, which opens annually for a month in the Fall (learn more here).
Gear and Garden Grants are offered to existing Grocery Grant recipients based on information collected in our Supplemental Applications.
To inquire about Gear, Garden or Advocacy funding details, please contact our ED, Izzy Waxman, at email@example.com
The Grocery Grant Impact Report form has
not been finalized yet. But don't worry - once it has been finalized, we'll email it to you. From the time of sending, you'll have at least two months to complete and submit.
For the time being, please complete the brief (aprox. 20min) "Supplemental Application" form below.
If your organization received funds from MAZON during the 2022 calendar year, please fill out this short form to become eligible for special funding (kitchen supplies, gardens projects, and more).
SOCIAL MEDIA GUIDELINES
If your organization uses social media, you are required to make at least one mention of our support online this year as a condition of accepting your grant.
This post should mention and tag MAZON Canada as a funder, thank the Jewish community of Canada (who MAZON represents), briefly describe the program MAZON funds and how it benefits your community and include an image of the program itself.
We would love to hear about the success of the program MAZON funded, along with images of the program and testimonials if possible.
BELOW ARE SOCIAL MEDIA POST EXAMPLES AND MAZON LOGO FOR DOWNLOAD.
Thank you MAZON Canada, The Jewish Response to Hunger, for supporting our Protein Program! MAZON provided 500 litres of milk for our food boxes this year. Because of supporters like you, our hungry neighbours have access to healthy fresh food.
We are so grateful to MAZON Canada - on behalf of the Jewish community - who once again helped provide us with the means to feed 30 families through our COVID-19 Emergency Deliveries.
Here is a note of thanks we received from a grateful client:
"I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful food hamper. It was delivered to me by this lovely family."
Our take-away dinner program was a huge success! We prepared a nutritious family meal which was all ready to cook later in the week for more than 80 families. Thank you MAZON Canada and the whole Jewish community, and all of our other sponsors and donors!
We’d like to thank the Jewish Community of Canada, who through MAZON Canada, funded the hot meal program for the women who visit our centre. It means so much to our community to have a place to share a warm meal and meet new friends. Thank you MAZON!
