MAZON'S PARTNERS

MAZON Canada funds organizations across the country that are fighting hunger on the front lines. MAZON funds both Jewish and non-Jewish organizations such as food banks, shelters, school food programs, community gardens, meals on wheels, Out of the Cold programs and more.

If your organization is providing healthy food to food insecure people, you may be eligible for a MAZON Canada grant.

GROCERY GRANTS

These grants are for organizations buying food directly for people in need. This is the most urgent aspect of our work and is th ebiggest part of our granting budget.

GEAR GRANTS

These grants help organizations buy equipment that builds their capacities for feeding the hungry, like kitchen equipment.

GARDEN GRANTS

These grants buy supplies for community gardens, teaching people in need to grow their own food and helping organizations feed healthy fruits and vegetables to their clients.

ADVOCACY GRANTS

These grants support activists and advocates with the resources to tackle hunger at the very root and empower thought-leaders to do research, design policies, launch or expand campaigns that work towards ending hunger in Canada.

SOCIAL MEDIA GUIDELINES

If your organization uses social media, you are requested to make one mention of our support online this year.

This post should thank the Jewish community of Canada (who MAZON represents), briefly describe the program MAZON funds and how it benefits your community, include an image of the program itself, and tag MAZON Canada as a funder,

We would love to hear about the success of the program MAZON funded, along with images of the program and testimonials if possible. Brag away! We'll share it!

BELOW ARE SOCIAL MEDIA POST EXAMPLES AND MAZON LOGO FOR DOWNLOAD:

Example 1: Thank you @MAZON Canada, The Jewish Response to Hunger, for supporting our Protein Program! MAZON provided 500 litres of milk for our food boxes this year. Because of supporters like you, our neighbours have access to healthy fresh food.

Example 2: We are so grateful to @MAZON Canada - on behalf of the Jewish community - who once again helped provide us with the means to feed 30 families through our COVID-19 Emergency Deliveries.

Here is a note of thanks we received from a grateful client:

"I want to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful food hamper. It was delivered to me by a lovely family. It means to much to know they care!"

Example 3: Our meal kit program was a huge success! We preped a nutritious family meal which was all ready to cook later in the week for more than 80 families, sharing the joy of cooking and healthy eating with their little ones. Thank you @MAZON Canada and the whole Jewish community, and all of our other sponsors and donors!

Example 4: We’d like to thank the Jewish Community of Canada, who through @MAZON Canada, funded the hot meal program for the women who visit our centre. It means so much to our community to have a place to share a warm meal and meet new friends. Thank you MAZON and to our volunteer cooks!
