Curious how your gifts helped last year? Check out our Annual Report on 2020 and our new Financial Transparency page to learn about how your gifts helped.

Here's some highlights by the numbers:

  • In 2020, your support provided 365,028 meals through 198 partners in 88 Canadian towns and cities through MAZON Canada. That's an average of 1000 meals a day!

  • You did it through 5 kinds of grants: Grocery, Garden, Gear, Advocacy, and COVID-19 Emergency! Each one helped feed the hungry in a unique way.

  • You helped the most vulnerable Canadians. Your gifts supported many programs that mainly serve specific groups facing barriers to food security and accessing food aid programs, including:

    • Seniors: 25 partners

    • Children and youth: 69 partners

    • Homeless or marginally housed people: 44 partners

    • Indigenous people: 20 partners

    • Refugees: 7 partners

    • LGBTQ+ people: 3 partners

  • Together, we raised over $1M... with a median gift of just $54. That's the power of the Jewish community coming together!

  • Of each $1 donated, $0.89 was spent on our mission to end hunger and feed the hungry.
