Let all who are hungry come and eat.

MAZON dollars at work

On April 4th, members of MAZON Canada’s board and allocations committee visited three organizations in Toronto that received support in 2010.

The first was Stanley Public School Healthy Snack Program, where we met with students and staff.

Next we visited National Council of Jewish Women’s Passover Food Drive which has been a central community program for the last 28 years. We packed Passover boxes and saw exactly what goes into every box.

Our last stop was Wychwood Open Door, a day-time drop-in centre that has served homeless and socially isolated people in Toronto’s midtown St. Clair West community since 1986.

Thank you again to Shelly Markel who chaired the mission and Murray Lukawitz, Allocations Committee chair, for their leadership on this successful event, which highlighted the many ways MAZON Canada helps feed the hungry.
